China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks concerning their Boundary Question, as both nations strive to address longstanding border issues. This development was highlighted by Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during a routine press briefing on Tuesday. Guo emphasized that the two countries are actively engaging in dialogue to implement agreements from previous discussions, underscoring ongoing communication on border-related matters.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. During his visit, he met with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, continuing the diplomatic exchanges between the two nations. These meetings come as part of broader efforts to maintain stability along their shared border.
Guo also remarked on the overall stability of the China-India border situation, highlighting that communication channels between the two countries are functioning effectively. This positive interaction is seen as an effort to reinforce the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary discussions, which both nations are actively working to implement.
