In a bid to streamline services and enhance efficiency, Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have rolled out a new system for handling passport, visa, and attestation requests. This updated process allows applicants to schedule appointments directly via an official online portal, eliminating any associated booking fees.
The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi, along with the Consulate General of India in Dubai, is now directly managing these consular services from their respective offices. This initiative aims to simplify the application process and prevent applicants from incurring unauthorized service charges, which have been a concern in the past.
Authorities have emphasized that appointments for passport, visa, and attestation services should be made exclusively through the designated online portal. They have cautioned applicants against paying any individuals, agencies, or intermediaries that claim to facilitate appointment bookings or offer expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.
Furthermore, the missions have issued a warning against trusting any organizations or representatives purporting to be officially authorized to provide appointment services. Individuals who suspect they have been misled, overcharged, or falsely represented are urged to report such incidents through the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.
Indian nationals living in the UAE, as well as travelers, are advised to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for any information related to consular services. This precautionary measure is intended to help them avoid fraudulent activities and unnecessary fees.
