West Bengal is poised to enhance its regional connectivity as plans move forward for a new airport in Purulia district. This initiative, part of the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, is a collaborative effort between the state government and the central authorities. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced the development, highlighting that groundwork for the airport has been completed and the necessary licence is in process.
